I've always loved this sound, and I wanted to make my own to share with YouTube. I thought this would be a really good sound to layer with other existing sounds, and in all of my future videos I plan to encourage the blending of the various sounds I upload to create your own unique virtual ambiences. (I made this easy to do at virtualcrickets.com)

Some examples that might be possible in the future (relative volume in parenthesis):
-Pirate Ambience: Ocean (100%), Dock (20%), Creaky Wood (50%)
-Cheap Motel: AC Unit (100%), Fluorescent Lights (50%), Distant Cars (35%)
-Busy Arcade: Restaurant Ambience (100%), Clacking Pool Balls (30%), Controllers Clacking (30%), TV Static (20%), Retro Game Sound Effects (50%)

Already have a neat sound recipe? Give it a name and let me know by making some noise in the comments below!

I sometimes let this run in the background while I listen to something else. The crackle just soothes me to no end, I love it. Thanks for the upload.

It's so funny how we hated this and did everything to avoid it back in the day and now I enjoy it.

Instructions for best listening:

1. Put in your earbuds
2. Put headphones over earbuds
3. Play a song on one and this video on the other
4. Play around with volume to find a balance between the two
5. Enjoy! 😊

Music with record crackles creates such a more wholesome and modest tone.

Youtube has lost meaning because it constantly interrupts songs with commercials.

It's weird how we strive for 'perfection' but perfection was already achieved when it was deemed imperfect.

Some of my records have static. When I play one, it takes me way back to good times! And when I need to take a break from MP3s or CDs, I switch back to vinyl collection! And to me, the more static, the better!
