How To Make Stop Motion Animation

stop-motion animation is the process of manipulating objects to make them appear as it they are moving on their own you can use anything from clay figures toys are just about any ordinary household object getting started some basic tools you will need to make your movie is a digital video camera a tripod a computer and some supporting software like I stop-motion creating your story first you need to come up with an idea for your story choose something simple and yesterday rhyme or a poem might be a good way to start storyboard next you will need to plan your storyboard this is really important if you want to make a good animation what happens in each scene what will the background look like will you need any special props or sound effects casting your characters now you will need to think about what your characters will look like clay is always a fun medium to work with always make sure your clay characters are a bit chunky and make sure they can stand up on their own that's it what will your set look like a cardboard box works well you can either draw your own background or cut out pictures from the magazine to create a background audio this is where you think about your sound I always start with my narration and then I lay with sound effects and music animating your movie always take a number of shots out beginning and end of your movie move your characters only a few millimeters at a time remember to use your onion skin tool to see where your last shot was taken always keep in mind that 12 frames generally equals one second of film publish your movie now try uploading your movie to one of your favorite servers like YouTube or Vimeo and email a link to your friends everyone likes watching me good animation have fun and thanks for watching
