Apple Arcade — Great games for the holidays

Mark Bozon: Hey, everyone. It’s Mark Bozon
from Apple Arcade, back with some great games
for the whole family just in time
for the holiday break. [CAR HORN HONKING] First up,
WHAT THE GOLF? is hilarious, and a perfect game
for when you’re on the go. The developers describe it
as golf created by people that don’t
really understand the sport. Explore hundreds of levels where
everything you see is golf. Racing is golf. Moving furniture is golf. Even the holidays are golf, with new December levels
just released. Next, Cat Quest II is a gorgeous
two-player adventure game. Your heroes —
one cat and one dog — take on quests, cast spells,
and battle enemies as they traverse the world by literally running around
on the map itself. SUPER IMPOSSIBLE ROAD
is a blazing-fast racing game. You can play split-screen
with up to four players, get in really deep
with single-player mode, or jump online in frantic,
multi-player races. It combines risk and reward
beautifully. Dare to fling yourself
off the track in to a freefall and land back on solid ground
ahead of the pack. It’s an absolute rush. In Sneaky Sasquatch, you
actually get to be a sasquatch. You go around stealing food
and causing mischief, all while on a quest
to save the forest from greedy land developers. It’s entirely open-ended, and you’re encouraged to just
live your best sasquatch life. Golfing, skiing down hills,
digging for buried treasure, and so much more. This game is like
a mini-vacation for your brain. Steven Universe:
Unleash the Light is based on the super popular
cartoon series. It’s a game all about
positivity, diversity, and inclusion, wrapped in a beautiful,
hand-drawn adventure. For your first
role-playing game, it’s the perfect place to start. And check out Patterned. This is a beautifully simplistic
take on jigsaw puzzles. With monochrome levels
that get more colorful with each piece. The developer fell in love
with pattern art and wanted people
to experience the work of some of their favorite
artists. Finally, there’s the sequel to a
cult classic, Exit the Gungeon. It’s an intense elevator ride
out of a collapsing dungeon filled with high-paced
boss battles and wacky weaponry. When things get chaotic,
here’s a tip, skip the controller
and try it with touch for a handy, frozen-in-time mode
where everything slows down and you can avoid
all that pesky enemy fire. Remember, when you get
Apple Arcade for the holidays, your whole family
gets to play too. Head on over to the App Store,
tap on the joystick icon, and blast off. Happy Holidays from everyone
at Apple Arcade.
